Welcome to the official website of the Goa Athletics Association, the premier centre for athletics in the state of Goa. Affiliated with the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) and recognised by the Sports Authority of Goa and the Goa Olympic Association. We are dedicated to fostering athletic talent across all age groups.

The Athletics Federation of India (AFI)

Founded in 1946, governs athletics in India, affiliated with global and regional bodies. It organises national championships and training camps, supporting Indian athletes in international competitions. AFI has 32 affiliated state and institutional units.

Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) 

A government body dedicated to developing sports in Goa. Established under the Societies Registration Act of 1860, SAG manages and maintains 14 sports complexes, including Olympic-size swimming pools, FIFA-approved football stadiums, and around 98 sports grounds across the state. It plays a crucial role in organizing sports events and enhancing sports infrastructure, such as during the Lusofonia Games.

The Goa Olympic Association (GOA)

Is dedicated to promoting Olympic sports and organizing various sporting events within the state of Goa. As a member of the Indian Olympic Association, GOA is responsible for overseeing the participation of Goan athletes in national and international competitions, including the National Games.
